"Since the completion of the course, I have had something new enter into my "relationship" with my mesa and artes that I am becoming to recognize as a shift, that for me is so profound. I want to express my gratitude for this. In the past, I have experienced moments of deep connection with some of my artes that I honor very much. A new dimension of that is emerging that is very exciting for me. The creation of these "Self" artes is a new twist for me, which I feel has led to this shift. Through placing "parts of me" into an arte, and placing it into a safe, nurturing, Loving, space on my mesa where I can interact with it from a place Mateo describes, has brought some focus to it, but what has been growing from this seed so much stronger, like a huge sunflower from a tiny stalk is the "relationship" between me and all that is in that part of me in the arte. I seem to be connecting more to the space in-between myself and the arte, to the relationship. What amazes me, and excites me is how the presence of relationship that is speaking to me so strongly is deepening my understanding and opening up what seems like a whole world to explore that can emerge, teach, flower from exploring what resides in the arte by "being" in relationship with it, by focusing on the relationship. This may seem elementary to some, but for me it is an opening, a portal to deeper relationship with myself, listening/sitting more with the wisdom that is waiting to emerge, and to a sense within me that is now palpable of what all is happening within my mesa, and my work/service with it. In all my excitement about this, the "relationship" presence draws me down to earth and encourages me to ground in order to be present with it. This all feels to me like "the middle world". So much gratitude for these teachings and this gift Mateo!"

"Exploring Inner Landscapes" has brought to my life.  Wait - 'life' is too small a word. I feel the work has impacted my very being across dimensions.  By fully imbuing simple artes with the obstacles that have prevented me from seeing the full array of possibilities, I am able to move from hopelessness and self-judgement to open space for beautiful possibilities, all the more valuable in the complications of the current world's chaos.  I appreciate your openness and vulnerability.  By hearing stories of your own personal experiences, it was easier for me to apply the tools you've provided to my own life.  I love that you have also included stories from spiritual masters such as Thich Nhat Hanh and Siddhartha, showing how the tools you've given are supported by their insights. Finally, I appreciate your comprehensive use of Zoom technology to include videos, graphics and real-time student involvement, while recognizing our need for confidentiality. 

I keep coming back to your words "the ever-expanding present moment" to discover deeper beauty and a continuous sense of wonder.  Deepest thanks.
