THREE-PART SERIES

Exploring Sacred Landscapes is an online journey through the three worlds of shamanic consciousness.  This three-part series will explore the newly emerging forms of consciousness becoming increasingly more available to humanity during this time of radical change.  The goal being the integration and internalization of these new depths of awareness into the physical and luminous body.

Learn to Work the Three Fields

Participants will walk away with a deep orientation to the three worlds of consciousness, and will also have a greater understanding of how the three fields of the Mesa work and can be utilized, both traditionally, and in relation to one's personal healing and growth.

This course will also break down the teachings of the three worlds through the lens of an ancient Peruvian cosmovision.  (Ukhu Pacha, Kay Pacha, and Hanaq Pacha).  We will explore the layers and levels of symbolism embedded into the three fields of the Mesa, as they relate to the dialectic of a Peruvian Mesa (ceremonial altar system).

Engaging the Process of Creation

Another main focus of this series is to bring practical instruction about how the three worlds are woven into, and expressed through, the spatial configuration of a typical healing altar from northern coastal Peru. The physical creation of this healing altar is a process of building and aligning the forms of consciousness of these three worlds.  And, once built, the shaman has access to these balanced forces and energies to conduct their healing work on self, and others within the larger body of community.

"Mateo, Thank you for these wonderful Exploring Sacred Landscapes videos. They allowed me a deeper understanding of our transition/transformation through the 3 worlds of the Mesa. I love the use of the artes to face our shadows in the Ukhu Pacha. It gave me a more real sense of letting go. While I am and always will be a work in progress, I can more clearly address these transitions to move forward toward transformation. I found that exploring, researching, and acknowledging those who guide us in unconditional love that this is the path I have always been on. It took me to a place of wisdom imparted to me long ago. It put my re-membering back in view. As I continue on my journey through these Sacred Landscapes I have a better understanding of the process to becoming a hollow bone. I am grateful to have taken this wonderful course work.  In greatest appreciation!"

"Mateo! I really enjoyed Exploring Sacred Landscapes. You explained things in a way that made it really clear and accessible for me.  In particular, I had a couple 'mind-blow' moments during your class where I finally 'got it' in a new way  - One, when you were talking about the principle of quantum entanglement, and merging the essence of our inner life with linked objects - so interesting - and Two, when you described the campo ganadero as the place to "use our will to direct/gather the flock/herd (our scattered energy) in a specific direction, safely, for healing. Yes!"

"So much gratitude to you Mateo for those 3 amazing sessions of Exploring Sacred Landscapes.  I am great-full and impressed with the amount of teachings you share in one course.

It is so well orchestrated, and your stories and personal experiences makes it all come together in a light and easy way for me to let things go and have lots of fun... it is well seasoned and delightful!  I feel like something transformed and lifted for me during those three courses."

"Since the completion of the course, I have had something new enter into my "relationship" with my mesa and artes that I am becoming to recognize as a shift, that for me is so profound. I want to express my gratitude for this. In the past, I have experienced moments of deep connection with some of my artes that I honor very much. A new dimension of that is emerging that is very exciting for me. The creation of these "Self" artes is a new twist for me, which I feel has led to this shift. Through placing "parts of me" into an arte, and placing it into a safe, nurturing, Loving, space on my mesa where I can interact with it from a place Mateo describes, has brought some focus to it, but what has been growing from this seed so much stronger, like a huge sunflower from a tiny stalk is the "relationship" between me and all that is in that part of me in the arte. I seem to be connecting more to the space in-between myself and the arte, to the relationship. What amazes me, and excites me is how the presence of relationship that is speaking to me so strongly is deepening my understanding and opening up what seems like a whole world to explore that can emerge, teach, flower from exploring what resides in the arte by "being" in relationship with it, by focusing on the relationship. This may seem elementary to some, but for me it is an opening, a portal to deeper relationship with myself, listening/sitting more with the wisdom that is waiting to emerge, and to a sense within me that is now palpable of what all is happening within my mesa, and my work/service with it. In all my excitement about this, the "relationship" presence draws me down to earth and encourages me to ground in order to be present with it. This all feels to me like "the middle world". So much gratitude for these teachings and this gift Mateo!"

"Exploring Inner Landscapes" has brought to my life.  Wait - 'life' is too small a word. I feel the work has impacted my very being across dimensions.  By fully imbuing simple artes with the obstacles that have prevented me from seeing the full array of possibilities, I am able to move from hopelessness and self-judgement to open space for beautiful possibilities, all the more valuable in the complications of the current world's chaos.  I appreciate your openness and vulnerability.  By hearing stories of your own personal experiences, it was easier for me to apply the tools you've provided to my own life.  I love that you have also included stories from spiritual masters such as Thich Nhat Hanh and Siddhartha, showing how the tools you've given are supported by their insights. Finally, I appreciate your comprehensive use of Zoom technology to include videos, graphics and real-time student involvement, while recognizing our need for confidentiality.

I keep coming back to your words "the ever-expanding present moment" to discover deeper beauty and a continuous sense of wonder.  Deepest thanks.
